Zeda's Birthday Party
Save the Date!
I know it's a bit early but I pretty much have Z baby's 1st birthday planned. I'm not excited for her to turn 1 but since it will happen whether I want it to or not...I'm going to make it a big deal.
To all our friends and family: Zeda's first birthday will be Sunday, June 13th @ 2:30pm
more details to come!

Mother's Day
As you may know I am obsessed with my TOMS. I have two pair and I wear them almost everyday. I love the feel, the fit and the mission behind them! My sister has been wanting a pair and said last night while we were listening to a Vegan presentation (no worries she didn't convince us to be Vegan) that she wanted the orange ones with the brown tree. I said, "What? I haven't seen those" So naturally when I got home I went straight to the site and found the coolest pair of shoes I've ever seen! I love love love these shoes. Jarrod was in the other room working on problems and I got on gchat and told him to come to our room ASAP I just had to show him something! Haha...he came running in probably thinking I meant something else ;) and I told him I HAD to have these shoes. He rolled his eye and walked back to the office. SO since they are out of stock until May I think Sarah and I should both get a pair for mother's day! I love having a baby! One more holiday to pick something out! What do you think?

Happy Birthday Luke
Today is little Luke's birthday. Luke belongs to my good friend and college roommate Bonnie. I can't believe he is already 1! It's so crazy. Bonnie and I were pregnant together which means Miss Zeda girl's first birthday is coming soon! Happy Birthday buddy, can't wait for your party this weekend!

This is how I found her...
Last night when Jarrod and I were playing with Zeda she was pulling up to the standing position and we were applauding her for doing a good thing. She ate up all the praise and apparently thought she'd get more this morning. I heard her waking up on the monitor so I did what I do every morning...let the dogs out, feed them and turn on the computer. When I went back to my room to look at her on the monitor I saw her pulling up on the bed and almost STANDING! What? So I rushed into her room and this is what I found. Luckily my camera was in there from the night before so I was able to capture this oh so cute but very scary moment. Looks like we will have to lower the bed again. Can we just freeze in time for a little bit...this growing up thing is getting tooooo sad.

Bon Bon
My good friend Bonnie shared with me some pretty awesome stuff today so I had to pass it along. She sent me an email after reading my previous post, New Years Resolution with some great great ideas for my resolution of buying gifts from charities. Here is one I'm totally going to use. Saint's Coffee I've been looking through their website and just love their mission.
Saint’s Coffee is a small-batch, micro-roaster offering specialty blends and unique varietals of 100% Fair Trade Certified™ and organic coffees. But beyond being the freshest, finest, and fairest of them all—Saint’s Coffee is transforming the lives of orphaned children by investing over 1/3rd of net profits from every sale into organizations helping children.
What does this mean to you? It means for every pound of the Saint’s Coffee you purchase, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you’ve fed an orphan for a month.
Wow-I love that. I've been able to see an orphanage in a 3rd world country up close and it's just down right horrific. You can't help but pour your heart into those children. Since I've had Zeda children touch me in a way they never have before. Zeda girl has definitely changed my outlook and has made me 100 times more compassionate. I would love to feed an orphan for a month so friends you will be getting coffee for your birthday!!! Thanks Bonnie.
