Bama Vacation

We just got back from a super fun and relaxing vacation to the beach. I had no idea how this week was going to go considering Miss Zeda is a complete guessing game at this stage in life. One day she'll love something and the next day it's the most horrible thing ever. Who knows. And Mr. E is still new and we've haven't travel in a car with him for more than 2 hours. Soooo...there was a lot to be anxious about. On top of the babies we were going with Jarrod's family. My main requirement to Jarrod is that we HAD to drive separate. What if our kids screamed for the whole 12 hours? What if Ezra wanted to stop and nurse every hour? I did NOT want to be worried about his family being frustrated too. However, since we weren't able to use my parents van, my one and only requirement became not feasible and we road with his mom and little brother, Cameron. To my surprise, the kids did amazing and we hardly had to stop at all. They both slept the whole way.  Every time we stopped for coffee or to switch drivers, E would wake up screaming, but as soon as we were back on the road he was fast asleep. Thank the good Lord.

 We stayed in a beautiful condo right on the beach and pretty much just relaxed and hung out the whole time. The weather was beautiful, the water felt amazing and I had a great time lovin' on my babies.

30? Really 30?

Jarrod is 30 today. I can't believe it. I spent his entire 20's with him, crazy. I wanted to do something special for his birthday and celebrate with all of our friends but Jarrod had something else in mind.

You'd think being married to me, I would just throw a party, right, why not?  That is actually the last thing Jarrod wanted for his birthday.

So, what does the husband of a party planner ask for for his birthday?

A week of nothing.

That's right folks, Jarrod said all he wanted was a week at home every evenings. Ha. You'd think that would be easy but it's not. We ALMOST accomplished it. Monday night we were in St. Louis at a ball game with his boss and tonight we are going to dinner with his family. He's a sucker :). Being home Tuesday and Thursday night will just have to do.

Well, old man, I can't wait to spend the next 30 years with you.

Eureka Springs

Jarrod and I spent our anniversary weekend at his brother's wedding so this past weekend we took the opportunity to get away. Life has been beyond crazy so the weekend to just enjoy each other was amazing. We took the little guy with us and pretty much just relaxed. We've never stayed in Eureka Springs together and I'm not sure why. It was so cute and the food was excellent.

This was our super cute house.  It has three bedrooms, an awesome kitchen plus two separate one room houses.  66 Center Steet is a perfect place to stay.  It's close enough to down town to walk but far enough away to get peace and privacy.

Our sling was a lifesaver.  We had him in there 80% of the time.  Eureka Springs isn't a place for strollers, there are WAY too many hills and tiny little shops.

This little guy was perfect!  He slept through the night and was super chill.  He just went with the flow and enjoyed himself.  Look how cute he is. :)

Friday we spent 1-4 with our builder picking out stuff for our new home.  One thing we for sure landed on was the brick color.  Old Town is the winner, for those of you who know your bricks ;)

One of many positions we had Ezra in that sling.  He was a big fan of this position.  However, Jarrod didn't like everyone talking to his back and an old lady kept touching his butt as she was grabbing E's feet.

One amazing restaurant... Local Flavor.  It was late but he was a trooper. 

Another great restaurant.  Garden Bistro.  This is their strawberry lavandar soup.  It tasted like melted ice cream.  Their bread was so good I asked if I could buy a loaf.  They pretty much said no, boo.  

We had such a good time, we will for sure be visiting again.  Happy 6th anniversary baby cakes.  Can't wait to travel with you again.

Check-in

I thought I would check in and let everyone know what's going on in the Murdaugh's world and to explain my lack of blogging. I have about 5 posts started and will eventually get those up here, I hope. BUT for now, here is our big happenings.

 Last Friday was Zeda's 3rd birthday. We had it at the house and it was a total success. It was a little sad for more reasons then one; 1. My baby is THREE and 2. It's the last party we will ever have in our first home. :(

With that said, we had 4 offers last week. 3 official and 1 unofficial. Well, then a 5th person called last night to see if there was anyway they could try and "out offer" the one we accepted. Jarrod said, no but we'll let them know if things fall through.

So, if everything goes according to plan, we have to be out of the house by June 30th. Yes, that's right, like...2 weeks away. I told Jarrod I was a bit sad we only had that amount of time left, then I thought about it and said, "well, we've had an extra year in this house." :)However, we are seeing more and more that God's timing is perfect and things are coming together better then I could have planned.

 Now, it's go time!

6.13 - signing my life away on MORE papers
6.13, 6.20, 6.27 - Zeda's gymnastics
6.15-6.17 - A Branson weekend for father's day
6.16 - My 10 year class reunion
6.22 & 6.23 - 2 weddings to run (not just attend)I'm thankful they are back to back.
6.18 - Attend my soon to be sister in laws bridal shower
6.24 - Throw them a couples shower
6.24 - Take their engagement photos
6.13, 6.19(am)6.19(pm), 6.21 - Meet with different brides (Yay for consistent work)
6.20 - Host a "wedding work night" for Karly (sister in law) and her girls to make DIY stuff for the wedding 6.27 - Help host a game night at Church (part of my duties at work)

All the while, packing up my house, moving into my sister's basement and taking care of my sweet little babies.
Anyone want to ride this train with me? Sorry Jarrod, you have to. Anyone else??? :)

All jokes aside, I'm really not complaining about my schedule. I'm so very thankful for God's blessings. For a buyer, for family (we can live with), for work, for my beautiful babies and for the items that make our home feel for like home.

Ava Turned 2!

We had a blast celebrating Miss Ava turning 2! She is one of the sweetest little girls around and I just love love her to pieces. Happy Birthday pretty girl. Aunt Be thinks you are absolutely wonderful!
