Dinner for One

I hate when Jarrod is out of town. I hate it even more now that we have Zeda then I did before. I don't know how single moms do it alone. I think I have a good baby, I mean she sleeps 12 hours at night, likes to lay and play by herself, eats every 3-4 hours and sleeps some more, that's good right? However, I really really like having someone else to help me. She's very low maintenance and I still want help :) (don't judge me). Zeda is becoming a baby and is no longer an infant. She's doing new things everyday and it's nice to have someone to celebrate it with me. I love love love saying "Hey babe, come look at Zeda!" She's talking up a storm and starting to rollover. She is also trying so hard to grab onto things. It's so sweet to hear her squeal when she finally grabs onto what she's reaching for.

So Jarrod is in KC for a conference, and that leaves me hanging out with Zeda baby by myself. One thing that really annoys me is when Jarrod waits till the nights that I am gone and makes some amazing dinner for himself. It drives me crazy when I come home from hanging out with my girls and he says, "You missed an excellent dinner, one of my best!" Grrrr....I would never do that to him. I always try to put my best foot forward when I'm cooking for him and eat cereal when he's gone. Well...I didn't mean to but I did it tonight. I was just going to throw something together really fast while Zeda was taking her fourth nap of the day and all I found in the fridge was stuff from our garden and a zucchini from the Yoders. I made one of my best. It might not look like much to you but the taste was bliss...mmm so good. When I told Jarrod what I had done. He said, "Well that wasn't very nice." Really! Ugh.
Here is Zeda and I eating our dinner (she got a taste later) on the back porch on one lovely evening. We miss you babe.

Zeda sleeping on her daddy

I have a lot to do today...a lot. But I'm putting everything off and hanging out on the computer. ugh. While I'm doing nothing I'd thought I'd share a sweet pic of Zeda. Jarrod is the best at getting Zeda fast alseep. When I try she just gets mad that I'm not feeding her. She needs her daddy and he already does anything she wants. Here is Zeda sleeping at her first football game!
